Call for Papers
After the success of editions at Roma, Alessandria, Reggio Emilia,
Genova, and Padova, we are glad to announce the VI edition of
MoodleMoot Italy. MoodleMoot is a term used by the international
community of the Moodle users to refer to an event where one can:
* learn what Moodle is
* practice with Moodle
* exchange usage experiences and ideas about the development of
new modules
* learn about the ongoing projects and the future developments
of the environment
This edition, located in Torino, will be a forum focussed on
what, how and to which extent is changed in the use of Moodle
in the last five years and has, consequently changed the teaching
experience in every usage frameworks, from school to university,
from public agencies to companies.
MoodleMoot is a chance for the whole community of Moodlers to
meet, share experiences, discuss and think about furture developments.
We allow two kinds of presentation:
- short presentations: about 10-15 minutes
- long presentations: about 20-25 minutes
Presentations must concerns Moodle topics. A non-exhaustive list
includes:
* diffusion and usage of Moodle in primary, secondary, and high school
* diffusion and usage of Moodle for continuing vocational training
* diffusion and usage of Moodle in the Public Administration and in companies
* pedagogical experiences
* comparison between Moodle and other tools for supporting teaching and learning
* software: wdevelopment of modules, APIs, functionalities, use of non-standard modules and integrations
* hardware: scalability, configuration, technological solutions for an optimized use
* case studies
Presentations will be submitted as short papers with the following
characteristics:
* papers must contain title, list of authors, affiliation
* papers must contain either the label "SHORT PAPER" or "LONG PAPER"
* the paper must be at most 2 pages long (including the already mentioned parts) using 10 or 12 points fonts
* the paper must contain the main theme(s), selected from the above
list, plus at most 3 keywords
Participants who wish to present on-going works must submit a paper
with the above characteristics but with the label "POSTER" or "LAB
EXPERIENCE". Posters will be hung on proper stands and the authors
will have the possibility to discuss their ideas with the other
participants. Lab experiences will have a time slot of about 15-25
minutes for presentation in in special rooms equipped with computers.
